ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

ATRIEV is currently improving its web site to be accessible for all users, especially people with disabilities. We think a simple, clean website, offering the most comprehensive information and we designed it for an easy-to-navigate experience.

Accessibility and Usability Features

  1. ATRIEV strives to use the clearest and simplest language appropriate for the site's content.
  2. Each page on this site attempts to use structured semantic markup. Heading and list tags are used appropriately to give semantic meaning, and not just
for visual effect. This means that users of certain browsers or software can be assisted in navigation of the website. For example, on this page, JAWS
users can skip to the next section within the accessibility statement by pressing the letter "h" or "Shift+h" to go back to the previous section.
  3. A "skip to content" link is provided to allow the users to bypass the repetitive links and headers and go directly to the main content every time a page
    is accessed.
  4. Most of the pages have links to the site home page and the home page for the section currently being viewed.
  5. At the bottom of every page, Top of page link is provided to allow the user to go to the top of a current page.
  6. Link text is never duplicated; two links with the same link text always point to the same address.
  7. Links fully describe their destination. This helps screenreaders to make sense of links when they are listed out of context.
  8. Whenever possible, links are written to make sense out of context, in accordance with various web accessibility guidelines.
  9. Many links have access keys for the keyboard users.
  10. Images on the site contain alternative description (alt) tag attributes, which help users with visual impairment who listen to the content of the site
    by using a screen reader.
  11. Users will not find banner ads, pop-up advertisements and/or blinking buttons trying to divert their attention.
  12. Text sizes can be adjusted by the user on most browsers, improving the readability of content to persons with visual impairments.
  13. Many pages have Related Links section where users can find internal site links or links to external sites related to the current page they are browsing.

Access Keys

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by pressing a sequence of keys on the keyboard. On most Windows browsers, you can press ALT + access key
then enter; on most Macintosh browsers, you can press CONTROL + access key. If the access key is defined on a link, your browser will follow the link once
you press Enter (Note: This is for IE6 users. Mozilla and Netscape will automatically render the page after hitting the ALT key plus the corresponding
access key).

Access keys are keyboard shortcuts that replace the need to use the mouse for navigation in browsers that support them. These are defined because not all
users are able to use a mouse, and several alternative browsing devices do not apply a "point and click" interface.
